Problem
Procurement risk and opportunity are invisible when contracts are read one at a time, and checking a supplier across registries takes weeks of integration work.
Solution
Every two hours it checks new processes for flagged entities and contractors, chains six official sources (procurement, company registry, corporate supervisor, judiciary, disciplinary and fiscal-control records) and returns a verdict with the evidence chain; it spots cross-contract signals and drafts the freedom-of-information request, evidence dossier and social thread.
Demo moment
The same flagged process shown twice: as a winnable low-competition opportunity for a small business, and as a red flag (single bidder, two-month-old company) for a citizen.
Why it stood out
- organizer statedOne engine, two products: the paying SME opportunity feed funds the free citizen watchdog.Source ↗
- organizer statedFinds patterns invisible contract-by-contract: award concentration around one supplier, shared legal representatives between supposed competitors.Source ↗
- organizer statedDoes not stop at the finding — drafts the legal information request and the dossier.Source ↗
- curator inferenceAutonomous: runs on a schedule without being asked, unlike the search/research tools most other entrants built.
- curator inferenceWon from the most crowded lane (7 of 12 projects did procurement): differentiation came from autonomy, dual use and action, not topic choice.
Lessons for your next hackathon
- In a crowded lane, compete on autonomy and the next action, not on better search.
- Show the business model inside the demo: who pays, who benefits.
